Anderson Kill Attorney Kenneth E. Sharperson Named to New Jersey Law Journal's "40 under 40" List 8/14/2009


Newark, New Jersey (August 14, 2009) – Anderson Kill is pleased to announce that Kenneth Sharperson, an attorney in the firm’s Newark office, has been named one of the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2009 "40 Under 40” list based on his professional achievements. The award is given to 40 attorneys throughout the state who are dedicated to their careers and their communities.
The New Jersey Law Journal’s "40 Under 40” list consists of young lawyers who have developed practice niches, demonstrated leadership potential by work in practice groups or committees and have a solid record of trial, appellate or transactional work. They also look for pro bono work and charitable, community and other volunteer activities. Mr. Sharperson's practice concentrates in the area of business litigation, with an emphasis on insurance recovery exclusively on behalf of policyholders. He also represents clients in a wide range of subject matters including commercial,intellectual property, anti-counterfeiting, andemployment. He began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable John E. Wallace, Jr. of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division (now Justice). Mr. Sharperson has undertaken management roles at his firm, serving on the Diversity Committee and the Insurance Education Committee, the latter of which carries responsibility for developing and creating insurance education programs. He is extensively involved in volunteer and pro bono activities including service as the Finance Chair of the East Orange YMCA Board of Managers. A certified court mediator, he serves as a volunteer mediator in the Essex County vicinage. He has recently been appointed to the Supreme Court of New Jersey District VA Ethics Committee beginning in the fall of 2009.
